| The Buckeye Country Music Organization of America (B.C.M.O.A.) is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization that helps local country and gospel entertainers in their pursuit to secure a future in the country, bluegrass and gospel music industries. The B.C.M.O.A. and its affliated associations, groups itself with a leadership who's goals are in line with one of the organization's most import prime directives: To create an alternative way, alongside the current music industry, to promote, showcase and cultivate country, bluegrass and gospel independent artists, musicians, and songwriters who face tremedous obstacles between them achieving national and international exposure. Instead of our association asking the artist, "How much money do you have?" we will be asking, "How much talent do you offer and how hard are you willing to work to get yourself ready for the marketplace?" Through networking with our national affliliate, The North American Country Music Association International (N.A.C.M.A.I.), we help support, organize, inform, and promote all facets of the country, bluegrass and gospel entertainment industries. As a whole, we encourage the development and advancement of local independent artists in these music fields. Our goal is to act as the mediator between the entertainer and music industry representatives. We produce and conduct annual competitions, showcases and award shows, along with promoting charitiable fundraising activities and events. We have produced showcases at some of the largest venues in the state of Ohio including the Sundance Saloon, in Columbus. These venues help our entertainers to create a bond between themselves and their local communities. The B.C.M.O.A. has helped produce 11 National Title Winners this year alone. Our competitions evaluate and critic the entertainers on their vocal abilities and stage presence. This helps them to realize their professional potential in the music industy. Through our afflication with the N.A.C.M.A.I. we have the opportunity to offer the entertainer a chance to get a the evaluation by the redcording industry. We accept both live and pre-recorded music, but expect the entertainer to perform at a professional level. |
