| National Qualifier BCMOA Qualifier Information November 1, 2009 Contestants must be a member of the B.C.M.O.A to compete. There is a entry fee of $25.00 per category. ONLY MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED made out to the Buckeye Country Music Organization of America. Applications received after the postmark deadline will be assessed a $10.00 late fee. Deadline to enter is October 23, 2009. What will I be scored on? You will be judged on:
Stage Presence, Grooming, Performer Showmanship What is the difference between Vocal and Entertainer? Vocalist are scored 40 points for items 1 - 4 and Entertainers are scored 20 points for items 1 - 4 and 40 points on items 5 - 8. The top two entries in each category will advance to the Nationals. Industrial Categories Songwriter of The Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Patriotic Song of the Year, Christmas Album/CD of the Year, and Video/DVD of the Year. Categories are judged prior to the day of competition. You must send your DVD or CD with your entry form. All industrial awards will be presented the day of competition. Dancers Welcome Solo, duet, small groups (3-9 dancers) and large groups (10 dancers and up) are welcome. All forms of dance must be of the country genre. Ticket Availablity Competition will be held at The Makoy Center 5462 Center St. Hillard Ohio 43026. Memberships will be sold by contestants for $10.00. This gives you a 50% discount at the door the day of competition. General addmission is $10.00. Children 10 and under are free. You must have a ticket to vote for Peoples Choice adults only no one under 11 can vote. All ticket holders must be present when votes are cast one vote per person. CASH ONLY NO PERSONAL CHECKS OR CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Videotaping or Flash Photography NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY PERMITTED INSIDE THE COMPETITION AREA. Video passes will be available at registration for $ 10.00 the day of competition, with written approval from contestant. This pass will allow you to videotape one contestant and the awards ceremony.
